The First Burn Matters - When you first light your candle, make sure to let it burn for long enough to create a full melt pool (liquid wax reaching the edges). This usually takes about 1-2 hours for every inch in diameter. It sets the stage for an even burn throughout the candle's life.

Trim the Wick - Before each use, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm). This prevents the flame from getting too big, reduces soot, and ensures an even, clean burn.

Avoid Drafts. - Keep your candle away from drafts, like open windows or fans. Drafts can cause uneven burning and even extinguish the flame.
